Fast Heat from Steam Power
A Steam-Heated Hot Press uses steam to warm up the platens. This steam comes from a boiler that is outside the factory building. A Steam-Heated Hot Press heats up faster than oil or electric presses. The steam goes through channels that are built inside each platen. You get very even heat across the whole surface of the press. A Steam-Heated Hot Press works well for making large amounts of plywood. The steam system gives you instant heat when you start the machine. Many big factories use this press because steam is cheap and powerful.

Good for High Production
The steam lines on a Steam-Heated Hot Press are made of strong steel pipes. These pipes do not leak or break under high pressure. A Steam-Heated Hot Press has a control valve that adjusts the steam flow. You can change the temperature by letting in more or less steam. The press cools down fast when you stop the steam supply. A Steam-Heated Hot Press has a condensate drain that removes water from the system. The platens are drilled with many small holes for steam to flow through. This press can run all day without a drop in temperature. The steam system also works as a safety feature if the press overheats.
