A Low Cost Way to Stop Hand Cutting
Not every shop needs full automation. Some shops make many different sizes. Some have small budgets. Our Board Edger for Sawmill is for these shops. You put the board on the feed table by hand. The machine takes over from there. It feeds the board. It finds the right position. It cuts all four sides. The board comes out straight and square. A plywood shop in Guangxi used this machine. They make many sizes and each order is small. They did not want to spend on a full auto line. But hand cutting was too slow. Our semi-auto edger cost one third of a full auto line. But it is still 3 times faster than hand cutting.
Precision Cutting on a Budget
The Board Edger for Sawmill uses the same four-blade design as our big machines. The blades are Ø305mm. That is bigger than our full auto model. The cut is clean and straight. The diagonal error is very small. The machine uses a Mitsubishi PLC. Setting up a new board size takes a few minutes. The machine has overload protection and an emergency stop. The frame is welded steel. It does not bend or shake.
Safe and Clean
The machine has a safety cover over the blades. Light sensors stop the machine if hands get too close. A dust port keeps your shop clean. The machine is simple. Fewer parts mean less maintenance. You can change blades in a few minutes. Here are the specs.
